Josh, thank you for your informative, astute and constructive commentary. Might I take the opportunity to further thank you for being such an irreplaceable asset to an underground movement that, at this present time, needs all the support it can get.

This was never an "excuse" for us not being able to record. It's fact. We do however, apologize profusely for giving it our all for the past half a year, trying our best to get a product out there which at least meets both our and our fans expectations. To produce anything less is an indictment on ourselves and an insult to those who have supported us over the years.

Just to get some insight behind why you bothered posting this - are you in a band in the local metal scene? If so, it would have been better to have discussed this face-to-face as opposed to have resorted to online sniping. Either way, I take it whence it comes.

To all those who took time out to respond and support us, you are all amazing. Thank you so much! It is people like you who make being in a band worthwhile and displays the solidarity and positivity of a scene which understands the need to stick together and strive towards a common goal.

There are some bands who are able to buy their way to the top. Good for them! Others, like Theatre Runs Red, are not so lucky in their inherent wealth and have to do it all themselves, working and learning as they go - just like 99% of SA's other metal bands. Set-backs go par for the course. Josh, maybe you can come to appreciate that. If not, then it's sad, because this kind of backlash commentary serves only as the cancer of rot which is trying to undo whatever little progress HAS been made to our local scene. Show the guys (& gals) some support, man. At the end of the day, bands in this country only really get their power of endurance from the positivity which we as a community can offer them.

Nah Scott, you shouldn't have recording issues, because if you do, then you just ask mommy for more money, and then continue... OH WAIT, TRR isn't a WANKCORE band.

Josh, you are a little anal wart that needs to get burnt off.

Josh, what are you doing off of Blabbermouth? Seems like you belong in their comments section. How is an announcement of a unforeseeable delay in an album embarrassing, or a lame excuse? Have you ever tried recording a quality metal album in this country? Somehow, I doubt it.

I fail to see what you find so utterly repugnant about this article.

Unlike the vast majority of the glampire-ridden, breakdown-centric 'core' bands out there, one of which I'm sure you're a proud member, Theatre Runs Read are nothing but deserved of the praise their seamless blend of genres, admirable work ethic and cohesion deserve.

The very fact that they've decided against releasing an incomplete product, one that doesn't match what they've previously envisioned, only serves to reaffirm them as a band that has concern, passion and dedication for their craft; a top band.

Being highly acclaimed doesn't imply ease of recording, or the benefit of a skilled producer.

Your comment concerning bias is ill-conceived at best.
You fail to realise that this is a press release, and gives an objective account of what has recently befallen the band, hence the testimonials and profusely apologetic remarks from members of the band itself.

The comments made by M4A, and the article itself, only solidifies M4A's position as an informative, influential and highly supportive exponent of the scene.

In summation, you're an idiot for disregarding the difficulties that can go part and parcel with recording, the band's level of professionalism and courtesy, and the level of respect and transparency they maintain with their fans.

Since when was honesty, courteous apology and respect for the fans frowned upon?

I say big ups to Theatre Runs Red for having the guts to publicly state the reason for the delay. It would be so much easier to simply keep postponing the release with vague excuses and lip service, which would ultimately cost them part of their growing loyal fan base.

Those who use hollow words to generate a fickle audience to grant them the flash-in-the-pan fame they want. Bands with integrity last far longer than that.

Lame excuse, embarrasing our little scene even further. This is supposed to be a 'top band'. This is typical buddy buddy backslapping, your article is biased to the band to the point where I wonder if a member of the band wrote it.
