Johannesburg, South Africa: fans of USA’s metalcore band Memphis May Fire and Canada’s progressive instrumental ensemble Intervals are flocking to secure tickets for Krank’d Up 2017.
The single-day annual music festival has been set up by Turning Tricks Entertainment as a staple in recent years. It attracts thousands of alternative music fans and metalheads to the Sundowners venue in Alberton, South of Johannesburg, for an open-air high energy musical spectacle each year. Previous guests include the likes of Periphery, Monuments, Norma Jean and more all alongside a full day’s worth of South African entertainment spread across two stages.
Local music at Krank’d Up 2017
There will be plenty of local Metal talent at the festival. Bands include Gauteng locals: Red Helen; My Columbine; Deadline; BloodBeast; Maximum Carnage; After Robot; State Society and more. From across the country, bands included are: Ohgod, Megalodon, Mezzanine Floor, and Vulvodynia, as well as a couple of other alternative and rock bands.
