Cold Hand Chemistry Release Video For Angel Suicide
Female-fronted symphonic metallers, Cold Hand Chemistry, released their first music video yesterday for “Angel Suicide” off their debut album The Gathering Crows. The song is also the second single off the full length.
The video was shot by Ruan Lotter of Tunnelvizion Productions over two days in April; first at an abandoned lion’s den (that used to belong to Cecil John Rhodes) and then in a derelict school in Riebeek West in the Cape Winelands. It’s great to see a music video with plenty of South African history behind it.
According to vocalist Chantel Smit, the concept behind the video is “based around the hunted and the hunter and being trapped.” It features a damsel in distress stalked by four masked men until “self-realization of one’s inner-strength finds a way to escape such situation.”
