Infanteria Don’t Miss a Beat

Barry’s last show with Infanteria was on the Metal 4 Africa Stage at Ramfest V on March 4th, which allowed him to leave on a high note on the bands biggest show to date. As an original member of the band and big creative contributor, Barry will be missed.
Without too much public debacle, Infanteria have already found a replacement by adopting a long-time friend into the family. Adriano Rodrigues, who presently also plays for Zombies Ate My Girlfriend, was formerly with 21st Century Tragedy who are also remembered for performing alongside Infanteria on M4A Stages in 2008.
In the meantime, the band plans to complete recording of their debut album during this month before resuming with live shows from June onwards. In the pipeline is a show at Aandklas in Stellenbosch alongside Bulletscript and The Thunder Gods on 25 June. There are whispers that Megadeth fans in particular might be up for a treat!
In chatting with the band, we perceive that optimism and enthusiasm remains high within their ranks, and in a closing statement from frontman Chris Hall, he declared: “The thrash is as ferocious as ever!”

Keep it rocking hard, boys! Although not widely credited as such, I really believe Infanteria is a landmark in CT metal m/
