Krank’d Up Festival is only in it’s third year, but already attracting names in the international circuit to South Africa. The first band to be announced was no fools joke on April 08th with Unearth from Massachusetts (read about it here), followed now by Canadian progressive metallers Protest The Hero.
Protest The Hero first emerged in 2002 with their debut EP, Search For The Truth, followed in 2005 by their first full length album with Kezia. They have since released another three albums, the latest being Volition which appeared in October 2013 and features Chris Adler of Lamb Of God fame on drums for the recording.
Krank’d Up will take place on Saturday 27 September at it’s stronghold of Sundowners in Alberton, Gauteng.
Tickets are currently on sale via Computicket. Current early bird pricing is set at a low R180 per person, with higher price phases coming into effect as the date approaches reaching a maximum price of R275 (although limited VIP tickets at R500 are also available).
