Since release in March this year of the bands second studio album Shadow, Terminatryx has been receiving overwhelmingly positive review from critics both locally and abroad.
To date, one music video for the new album has been released, featuring the title track ‘Shadow’. In keeping with the bands overriding theme of the supernatural, it was suitably launched on 13 June 2014 (Friday the 13th) and features the scene of a séance taking place. The video has now been selected for screening at the Canadian Montreal Comiccon film festival, in the horror category. The ‘Shadow’ video also marks vocalist Sonja Ruppersberg’s directional debut alongside the songs co-writer Paul Blom.
Previously, the band’s video for ‘Virus’ off of their self-titled 2008 debut was screened at film festivals on four continents and went so far as to win Best Music Clip at the Barossa Film Festival in Australia.
“We may not always get the local recognition for the effort we put in, so it’s always great to get acknowledgment from beyond our borders.” ~ Paul Blom (chief writer & instrumentalist, Terminatryx)
