Durban, South Africa: local slam metal sensation Vulvodynia has released a music video for the track ‘Flesh Tailor’ yesterday, premiered by Slam Worldwide. Within hours, the youtube released had clocked up well over 7,000 views and 1,000 “likes”, signifying the band’s growing global footprint.
“‘Flesh Tailor’ tells the story of one man’s obsession with skin. Devoting his life to his lust for flesh, his mind slowly slips away into insanity. This is the first in a series of music videos we will be releasing for tracks off of our latest album, Psychosadistic Design.” ~ band spokesperson (excerpt from: Metal Injection)
As of yet, Vulvodynia has not toured beyond South African borders, but whispers suggest that 2017 is the year for that to change. Details have been revealed of an appearance at Death Feast Open Air in Germany, tag-branded “The Most Brutal Festival in Europe”, amidst such bands as Whitechapel, Suffocation, Cryptopsy, and loads more. We trust that this will be only the first of more dates to follow.
In the meantime, South African fans in the region of Guateng can catch Vulvodynia live this weekend at Emalyth‘s Arts Expo: Nine Lives weekend festival in Wolmer, Pretoria North. Follow the official facebook event page for full details.
