The first time I ever encountered Charve Archer, he ran up behind me, wrapped his arms around me and said ‘oh my god, your shirt, I love your shirt, I want your shirt.’ I was wearing my favourite band, Theatre Runs Red‘s Tomb of Matrimony. We spent ten minutes sharing our love for Theatre with each other, and another half an hour arguing over who was the bands number one fan. It was the start of three year long friendship and competition as to who was the bigger fan.
Charve Archer was an avid and passionate metal head. He was loyal to the scene and his band, travelling hours from some tiny dorp in the middle of no where to get to events to support his bands.. He was always a positive inspiration, encouraging his favourite bands and myself to keep pushing for SA metal to dominate the world. He will be sorely missed by the entire Emalyth Team, Theatre Runs Red and every single other metal head who was fortunate enough to have known him.
