    Seasons in the Liquid Abyss

Go out on almost any night in Cape Town and you're sure to find live bands playing somewhere. And if it's not indie rock, then it's probably metal! Live gigs have become something of a convenience for many metalheads, where the lure of seeing their favourite locals bands on stage is completely shattered by the sheer saturation of events. There's always the comfort that the same band will probably be playing the same venue next month and so (in my personal experience) support for live events has begun to wane

“Metal Braai” hits RAMfest Cape Town

We put our heads together in 2011 already to think about how we could get the best festival experience possible and pitched it to the RAMfest organizers. They agreed that this is what metalheads would want, and so at RAMfest 2012 we teamed up with them and put it to the test. It's an almost nostalgic event for me, as I reviewed the previous Halloween Slaughter which took place at the Purple Turtle about 364 days ago

Absolutely No Limits On Our Songwriting – Sindulgence Interview

Sindulgence is a rising star in the local metal scene, which probably has to do with the fact that they are one of the hardest working bands around. They play a unique style of metal that encompasses progressive elements as well as death metal and even some 'core thrown in. In light of their debut Metal4Africa performance at Winterfest in July and their upcoming album launch this weekend, Stentorian got a hold of the sinners and fired off some questions
