Cape Town, South Africa: the team at NoiseFix just announced another national tour by God Mother, the Swedish Hardcore band which graced our shores in 2016, returning for another round in 2018.
God Mother places its emphasis on intensity and aggressiveness, drawing influence from hardcore, grindcore, metal and sludge. With a new album to share since it’s last visit, the band is excited to return to South African audiences.
“The Last South Africa tour we did was one of the best and most fun tours we ever did. We have been eager to come back ever since. Everything from the crazy shows, the way we got treated and all the new experiences was great. NoiseFix did a great job setting up the tour and we made a lot of new good friends we are looking forward to meet again. We have recently released our new LP ‘Vilseledd’ which we are really proud of and are excited come down to South Africa again and play some new tunes in front of new and old fans. If you ever been to a God Mother show before you know to expect the unexpected. See you all soon.” ~ Michael Dalström (drums, God Mother)
Joining God Mother on the road for all shows dates is Cape Town hardcore band Peasant.
Peasant carves it’s own story out of the South African metalscape. The band arrived suddenly onto the scene in 2014 and released an EP every year since, and making a powerful imprint with shows all across the country. It comes as no surprise that Peasant has risen to prominence.
“We are very stoked to support a South African tour with our dudes in God Mother! It’s been over a year since we’ve been up north, so we are keen to do it with some new merch and new tunes. We got on super well with the swedes while they were down on the last tour, and they’re absolutely crushing live. So this tour should be a total winner.” ~ Pieter Jordaan (Peasant)
Peasant will increase its number to five members for the God Mother tour! None other than Richard Staub – best known for his roles in the bands Conquerer and FREExMONEY – will join as a second guitarist. Fans can get to see and enjoy Peasant as never before.
