Johannesburg, South Africa: local promoter Turning Tricks Entertainment announced a new tour for 2019 today, headlined by the Ukraine’s Jinjer. Jinjer is known not only for its powerfully eclectic blend of various metal sub-genres, but also for its potent frontlady, Tatiana Shmailyuk; a performance not to be missed!
The UK Post-Metal/Prog quintent Sümer will join Jinjer for the South African tour dates. Also, the Ukrainians will be reunited with Cape Town’s Oh God in that city, following German tour dates shared by the two bands earlier in 2018.
Signed to Napalm Records, Jinjer is taking the Metal world by storm! An incredibly diverse hybrid brings together the best of many metallic sounds in a skillful onslaught. Elements of Djent, Death Metal, Groove, Prog… you name it!
Presently on tour in Latin America, Jinjer has made its mark purely on the merit of hard work, talent and the ingenuity of its members. Visit the band’s website to explore its three albums released to date.
Sümer formed in 2010 and is rising in the European festival circuit. Gathering multiple awards along the way, Sümer achieves all of this on the strength of its only album, The Animal You Are, from 2014. A new album is on the way! Enjoy a dual-vocal, triple-guitar vortex of progressive rock/post-metal along the vein of previous Turning Tricks Entertainment guests such as Karnivool, Monuments and more.

Saturday, 4 May @ Platteland, Centurion, Gauteng.
