Johannesburg, South Africa: as if 2020 horror in general wasn’t enough, Halloween Horror is on its way to Rumours Lounge on Saturday 31 October.
First steps back into the live circuit for 2020
Metalheads are rearing to get out to a show following many months of Covid-19 lockdown. Emalyth, ever-courageous, is one of the first promoters to announce a higher-profile live show under “the new normal”
“We’ll have some of Gauteng’s sickest bands, spooky stalls, a best-dressed contest and a Halloween Horror-themed quiz competition.” ~ Sashquita Northey (promoter, Emalyth)
Halloween Horror entertainment details
The live line-up includes some of Gauteng’s hottest metal acts, including South Africa’s most recent Wacken Metal Battle champions, Facing The Gallows. Band members have been working hard over the lockdown period, releasing several music videos and a tour documentary film. With all of the momentum attained prior to lockdown, Facing The Gallows is eager to get back on stage.
Also appearing on the line up are old school heavy metal favourites, Deadline, and relative newcomers, Sunken State. Additionally, Raptorbaby returns to the stage along with a new vocalist, Steven Foukaridis. Capgras Delusion will perform its debut gig at Halloween Horror; an apt performance date for this spooky band, which also just released its first EP, Never Saw It Coming.
“Brush up on your spooky trivia. The Halloween Horror Quiz will feature four rounds with questions ranging from Horror Films, Serial Killers, Urban Legends and other spooky stories. Prizes for the quiz and best-dressed competition are up for grabs from our sponsors.” ~ Sashquita Northey
