Open the gates, Hellington awaits!

Hellington 2016

Wellington, South Africa: this sleepy agricultural village, only just far enough outside of Cape Town city boundaries to often be overlooked as a musical destination, will be host to a line-up of local metal in a small and intimate open air event on 05 November. Suitably labelled Hellington, the event offers an open air concert experience, and even camping over for punters at the low, low price of R150 per person. The catch is: it’s a private event. Your only way in is by contacting one of the bands on the line-up! There will be no ticket sales at the gate.

Below is a look at that line-up (A-Z), and who it is that you can contact about access:

Between Mind Assault, Strident, and Theatre Runs Red alone, the line-up represents some of the countries most tried and tested within the genres of Melodic Death Metal, Power Metal, and Black Metal. Many of the other participants are no less significant in their accomplishments, making this one not to be missed by any true local metal enthusiast.

Directions to Hellington are also reasonably simple. From Cape Town, take the N1 towards Paarl until the R44/Wellington offramp. Take the R44 towards Wellington until you reach a 4-way stop, then turn right onto the R45. The Mooi Uitsig Farm is the first driveway on the left.
