South African extreme metallers are to be treated with yet another exciting showcase from Witchdoctor Productions. In the first announcement for their 2015 calendar year of events, they have shared that Austria’s Belphegor will be appearing at Witchfest in April, as a part of a promotional drive for their coming album Conjuring The Dead. The appearance of Belphegor will follow other international extreme metal outfits expected to visit under the Witchdoctor banner during 2014: Kataklysm (Canada); Sepultura (Brazil); Behemoth (Poland), and; Konkhra (Denmark). Sepultura and Konkhra have both appeared in South Africa in the early 2000s, also hosted by Witchdoctor Productions, known at the time as Witchdoctor Records.
Belphegor‘s style is described as blackened death metal. The band has already released nine studio albums in their two-decade career, with the upcoming Conjuring The Dead to bring them to ten studio releases in 2014.
Information on tickets and pricing has yet to be released.
