SA Metal Drummers: Mike Ieradi free drum clinic

South African metal drummers in the Gauteng region are in for a treat this weekend. Mike Ieradi, drummer for Protest The Hero from Canada, will be presenting a free drum clinic!

What is little known about this progressive metal band is that Chris Adler from Lamb Of God fame, and more recently also of Megadeth, actually performed drums in the recording of the bands latest album Volition (2013) after their original drummer departed. It was into these mighty shoes that Mike Ieradi has proven more than apt to fill the role for the band moving forward, himself a Mapex Drums endorsed artist as is Adler.

The drum clinic takes place at Music Connection music store at 376 Jan Smuts Avenue, Craighall Park, starting at 12h00 on Saturday 25 April. Booking is essential, as seating is limited to 100 people. Follow the booking instructions at the facebook event page right away!

Proudly brought to you by Zildjian cymbals and Mapex drums, in partnership with Turning Tricks Entertainment.

This clinic is also a part of the South African national tour being undertaken by Protest The Hero, featuring a host of awesome local bands in each city such as: Red Helen (2014 South African Wacken Metal Battle finalists), Poverty Of Ideals, Boargazm, Raptorbaby, OhGod, Ill System, All Guns Full Ammo, Zombies Ate My Girlfriend and others in the various cities. See our previous metal4africa article for dates, and don’t miss out!
