Durban’s Contrast the Water have been busy during their absence and yesterday released “Them”, the first track off their upcoming EP, To Covet What I Behold. The band is fiercer than ever with a track that plods and grooves forward steadily before bursting into a rabid frenzy of riffing. Vocalist Barry Drewett is clearly pissed off the the lyrics appear to be a violent screed against the world and the eponymous “Them” that plague society and the rest of the band channels the atmosphere perfectly.

The album art pictured above is the painting “Slave to Fear” by Rebecca Claxton and the design of the album art is being handled by Nic Venter of Ink Black Visual Art.

While no release date is confirmed yet, the free (yes, FREE) EP’s tracklist has been revealed:

1. Them
2. I Am
3. To Covet What I Behold
4. Slave to Fear
