Peasant: ‘No Love’ EP released today

Peasant 2016 No Love EP

Cape Town, South Africa: prominent local hardcore band Peasant celebrate the release of their five track No Love EP today, following closely on the heels of last week’s single ‘Heed The Will’ which included a video. Mentioned before was that the band has actually recorded ten songs, but decided to release them as two EPs instead; with the second to arrive towards mid-2017. There is a method to the madness, according to a band member:

“There are plans in motion to get both releases out as one set on vinyl next year. We’re currently talking to some people about making that happen, so as soon as we know anything more concrete, we’ll let everyone know.” ~ Pieter Jordaan (guitar, Peasant)

No Love and the tracks for the as yet unnamed follow-up release were recorded and mixed by Dean Bailey of Cloud Studios in Cape Town, South Africa; and thereafter mastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege in Portland, USA. Pieter adds that the current release is strictly an in-house affair, but the band are looking for options abroad for the follow-up. As for extending the launch celebration to friends and fans across South Africa, Peasant will be on the road before the year is complete:

“We will be doing a weekender launch tour to Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban spanning the 1st to the 3rd of December. Venues and details will come soon. We’ll also have a new range of merch with some online pre-orders set up for then.” ~ Pieter Jordaan
