Despite Cape Town’s reputation as being a slow city, resident hardcore-metal hybrid Peasant are determined to prove otherwise to the world. Wasting no time in getting to the point, they have recently released a video for their blistering thirty seconds of ‘Nosedive’, the second song on the band’s 2015 two-track Circles EP.
“‘Nosedive’ is a song that presents a certain distaste for mankind. The theme of misanthropy is something that presents itself quite often in our material.” ~ Pieter Jordaan (guitar, Peasant)
Peasant report to be preparing with a follow-up recording in 2016. This time, with the assistance of Dean Bailey at Cloud Studios, the band intends a full length album, but only intend revealing more details in the new year.
The band will be performing two shows later this month as support for Gauteng’s The Slashdogs and Cortina Whiplash during those bands Cape Town tour. Full details available at the official facebook event pages for Thursday 12 November at Manilla Bar, and Friday the 13th at Club Med.
