Cairo-based Egyptian death metal band Scarab have returned with another album following their 2009 debut full-length: Blinding The Masses. The new album, titled Serpents Of The Nile, will be released as a limited edition digipak cd in March 2015 and features majestic artwork and sixteen-page booklet.
Pre-orders for both the digital album and the physical digipak are now invited via Scarab‘s Bandcamp page, with two sample tracks already streaming; and they are sounding massive! The album will contain eight tracks in total which are listed as follows:
1. Calling Forth the Ancient Spirits of Kemet
2. Visions of a Blood River
3. Spells of Coming Forth by Day
4. Serpents of the Nile 04:49
5. Pyramid of Illusions 06:21
6. Funeral Pharaoh
7. The Afterlife Illusions
8. Days of a Burial Mask
The band is gaining an ever increasing international footprint, having already performed at festivals such as Desert Rock Festival (United Arab Emirates, also featuring: Motörhead, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Chimaira…), With Full Force (Germany, also featuring: Amon Amarth, Carcass, My Dying Bride, Dimmu Borgir…), Devilstone Festival (Lithuania, also featuring: Alcest, Warbringer, Anathema, Aura Noir, Lake of Tears…) and most recently, Metaldays (Slovenia, also featuring: Obituary, Megadeth, Sabaton, Children Of Bodom…).
