Cape Town, South Africa: with SummerFest’17 looming near on the horizon, and serving as an entry into the eleventh year of this event tradition, it comes as no surprise that new components keep finding their way into the event series’ evolution.

Welcome to the Dark Side is the theme selected by members of the Cape Town cosplay community who will be in attendance at the show, headed by local cosplay personality KomboKitten. KomboKitten will not only be adding a performance element to the live set of Arc Reactor, who have reformed for a reunion show especially for SummerFest’17, but she will also serve as ‘Mistress of Ceremony’ for the entire event. We hope that you all give her a warm welcome!

“I am thrilled to finally merge my love for metal with my passion for cosplay. A new opportunity for cosplayers to explore their dark side arises! May this collaboration bloom into a highly anticipated tradition for Capetonian cosplay and metal enthusiasts alike!” ~ KomboKitten (cosplay artist, MC)

Therefore, consider this a call to costumes for all cosplayers within the metal community. For those who are unfamiliar with the South African metal people, I’m sure you’ll find us very friendly and accommodating. Don’t be shy to check out our event and dazzle us in attendance with your artistic ingenuity. Note that a discount applies to any who arrive in full costume, thus a door charge of only R80.

To see what KomboKitten is all about, visit her website or come and meet her and some of her minions in person at SummerFest’17 on Saturday 04 February. See full show details at the official facebook event page.
