Technopath: long awaited ‘Ontology’ EP released

Technopath 2017 Ontology art

Cape Town, South Africa: now who says that metalheads are one-track-minded? Featuring members from brutal slamming metal band Vulvodynia, crossed with the zany prog-like ambience of Sketch The Sky, Technopath astounds. As early as February, Technopath told us of the imminent arrival of a debut EP, promising that it would feature a number of internationally renowned guests. Low and behold, Ontology has arrived in all of its glory on 01 December.

Ontology and a staggering repertoire of guests

It must take guts to approach some of the artists which feature on Ontology. However, the aspirant young musicians of South African origin are not lacking in skill themselves; the collaborations seems quite a natural fit. Special guests from abroad include:

[su_list icon=”icon: arrow-circle-right” icon_color=”#888″]

  • Nick Johnston – Canadian solo rock guitarist extraordinaire
  • Mattias Eklundh – Swedish clinician, session musician (including for bands like Soilwork) and his own band Freak Kitchen
  • Bryan Beller – American bass guitar superstar, having worked with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, James LaBrie and, of course, Dethklok!
