Cape Town thrash metal band Wargrave announced recently, somewhat out of the blue, that their debut album will be released in November (see previous article). To put some further weight behind their promise, the album artwork for Suffering The Void has been unveiled today.
The artwork for Suffering The Void was created by Jason Modryc of Writhe Designs, also known as the frontman for local melodic death metal band Imperial Destruction, and for whom he has also created various artworks.
“Somewhat influenced by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, Suffering The Void represents the internal struggles we face while trying to discover ourselves and make sense of the world around us. The idea was Heinrich’s (vocals) vision, and we think the artwork fits in with the album title” ~ Justin Ross (guitar, Wargrave)
Suffering The Void will be independently released by the band, available as a jewel case hardcopy, first at their launch concert taking place at ROAR on 14 November along with fellow thrashers Infiltrate Neutralize Govern (aka: ING) as hosted by The Unscene entertainment brand.
“We are really looking forward to getting back on stage! As you know, it has been a good few months since we last played.” ~ Brendan Stubbs (guitar, Wargrave)
