Treehouse Burning 2019 Suffering

Cape Town, South Africa: Metalcore in “The Mother City” is strong in 2019 with Treehouse Burning presently leading the charge. Today, the band is celebrating its second EP release since it released Overdose in October 2017.

You can access the new work, Suffering, right now on bandcamp. Treehouse Burning also invites Cape Town fans to celebrate with the band tonight! Treehouse Burning and guests Abaddon, As Time Divides and The Fallen Prophets are lighting up Mercury tonight with a show titled Affliction. This serves as the live EP launch party with a few extra bells and whistles on offer.

“The show tonight will be our biggest show we’ve put on, it’ll be a longer set accompanied by 3 guest vocalists and new songs!” ~ Jesse Kuhn (guitar, Treehouse Burning)

Suffering EP: 4 tracks

We already previewed two tracks from Suffering, including ‘Øphex’ as far back as last year. Treehouse Burning treated fans to ‘Krasitam’ only last month as a final run-up to today. Jesse shared with us how the songs on the current release are woven together by a common theme:

“The four tracks are all about some form of suffering. ‘Krasitam’ is about a character we made up which is the embodiment of suffering and gore. ‘Iron Empire’ is slightly political and about how society has brought about it’s own suffering and problems. And then the voice note skit was a drunken night out from last year which leads into the final track, ‘Øphex’; dealing with the suffering felt during substance abuse.” ~ Jesse Kuhn
