Cape Town, South Africa: the Metal groove-masters at Bulletscript are unveiling the first single from Enemy today; an upcoming EP from the band for sometime later in 2019. The new work is the first featuring Brett Bruton (formerly from All Guns Full Ammo) since taking over on vocals from Ian Watson. The song releasing today is the title track for Enemy, and premiers with a live interview on The Rock Arena presented by Tallon Williams at One FM 94.0 tonight shortly after 22h00.

At its heart, ‘Enemy’ is a return to Bulletscript’s groove metal roots, but what it represents is so much more. Driven by catchy riffs, energetic solos and driving vocals, the EP is the first, audacious step towards a new era of composition for the band; drawing on a wealth of new learning and a rekindled enthusiasm for kick-ass metal. Stepping up from the introspection of 2016’s Primordial, Enemy is an explosion of energy, geared to entertain and energize the fans, at home and in the pit.
“Conceptually, the lyrical content of ‘Enemy’ swings from a critique of the cult of celebrity through to the technological singularity, with some societal dread sewn in between. The original cover artwork by local designer Dave Jackson brings some of these ideas to life in a scene that oozes foreboding, an ominous encounter with a looming entity in the center of a post-apocalyptic wasteland.” ~ Brett Bruton (vocals, Bulletscript)
If previous shows are anything to gauge by, Bulletscript will command fierce moshpits once again at M4A‘s SummerFest’19 next weekend. Joining a powerful line-up alongside the likes of Zombies Ate My Girlfriend, Vulvodynia, Adorned in Ash, Woltemade and more, Bulletscript takes the stage at 21h15 on 02 February.

New stock of limited edition Enemy merchandise will accompany the performance at SummerFest’19, featuring the new artwork. This is part of the band’s fundraising bid – along with a fresh gigging cycle in the near future – to raise funds for a music video, and perhaps even a full length album for later n 2019.
