Johannesburg, South Africa: Jam Packed Productions broke some news along with a few hearts yesterday. The anticipated tour by Dance Gavin Dance, scheduled for the end of February will not be happening. However, the company burned some midnight oil to find a replacement act to save the day; and they nabbed fellow USA metalcore band Crown The Empire.

In a statement issued by Jam Packed Productions, they said:

“We’re grateful to the universe that a great international band has stepped up to the plate, and we will be doing everything in our power to ensure that you still have the best experience we can offer.” ~ press statement (Jam Packed Productions)

Crown The Empire: taking on pre-booked dates

For existing ticket holders, nothing changes. Crown The Empire will simply fill the slots on the two already-booked dates left open by Dance Gavin Dance. Jam Packed Productions offers full refunds to any unsatisfied ticket holders. However, the facebook events for both shows already display that many people have taken the change with a positive attitude.
